When we imagine what Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige’s work day is like, we envision dozens of spinning platters about to crash to the ground but somehow spin into infinity. Occasionally, however, one of them needs a little help to move on — like with a recently fixed continuity bug found in the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel.
A continuity error with the Statue of Liberty in the #MsMarvel Finale recently went digital on Disney+

The change was first spotted by fan account MsMarvelUK on Twitter, who noted that the Statue of Liberty rendering had been updated. When the New York City icon emerged surrounded by scaffolding during the pivotal battle of Spider-Man No Way Home, the statue had a copper appearance (the pale green is the result of oxidation of the statue’s copper surface). The statue was renovated to include Captain America’s shield on the statue, although Spidey’s fight knocked the shield off.
Before the VFX team worked on their Disney magic, the statue appeared in the opening credits of Ms. Marvel with its traditional, oxidized appearance. However, a look at the credits now shows the copper-colored statue.
It’s a small change, but in a franchise with so many concurrent stories and interacting characters, details like this can help not only fans, but the studio itself to keep track of when and where things are happening. With so many productions, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been subject to a variety of continuity errors over the years, including the multiple reuse of actors for more than one character.
