A new mod for failure 4 called “Galac Tac Mercs and Music” has just been released, which adds a huge amount of content to the game, including 30 new missions. While Bethesda is busy working on it starfield, due out sometime next year, the modding community is hard at work putting their own efforts into the post-apocalyptic series. Despite the size of the fourth game in its vanilla form, it’s not stopping many from expanding it further.
Anyone who plays the game, especially on PC, knows how many ways there are to change up the post-apocalyptic title, and some of these custom add-ons can really transform the experience. For example, there is a mod for failure 4 which overhauls some of the game’s core mechanics, such as B. the reorientation of the fight and the improvement of the stealth function. There’s also one that essentially turns the entire Commonwealth into a volcanic wasteland, giving the entire game a different look than what many are used to.
Then there’s Galac Tac Mercs and Music by Varangian Studio. As reported by DSO Gaming, this is actually a sequel to another failure 4 Mod, with this latest offering adding a new story, missions, companions and armor. In addition, there are the 30 quests mentioned above, as well as a “light morale” system, a custom skin for the Pip-Boy, and some new locations. It even licensed music from a Chicago-based grunge band called LEVER. The mod uses the “Automatron” DLC, so players must have that in order to play this rather ambitious mod.
This isn’t the first high-flying project for the game to come out of the woodwork, either. Many will know them Fallout London mod for which a demo was released last month, with the final product expected to be out next year. As the name suggests, this DLC-sized add-on turns the English capital into the wasteland, adding a short quest, a new trader, and more. Essentially, there are teams in the community that have a vested interest in improving Bethesda’s formula for the 2015 game.
While Fallout New Vegas considered by many people to be the superior entry point, the fourth part is still pretty solid. It allowed players to witness the beginning of the nuclear apocalypse and implement a settlement building feature. There will be one too failure 5which has been confirmed by Todd Howard, but that’s probably years away, especially given this The Elder Scrolls 6 has not received any updates regarding the development and the company has said that it is focusing on this game first.
failure 4 is available now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
