A Skyrim VR Player tried to get Ulfric Stormcloak, the convicted Jarl of Windhelm, to apologize for his actions by dragging him in solitude all the way to General Tullius. It seems there is no indication of when The Elder Scrolls 6 will arrive, the players are still talking TES5and if that means dragging one of the game’s most notorious rebels across the map to atone for his crimes, then so be it.
virtual reality on Skyrim can really increase immersion by allowing players to get up close and personal with the inhabitants of the land. There’s even a mod for the VR port that goes a step further to add a sense of realism, including the ability to physically grab NPCs, and through this method one player decided to embark on such a tiring quest to go.
In a video recently uploaded to YouTube, The Laughing asked Simon if it was worth dragging Ulfric all the way to Solitude in the VR version of Skyrim. The amusing episode shows the player holding the Nord in various ways to prevent him from running away. At over 23 minutes in length, the video demonstrates both the treacherous journey that must be undertaken and Ulfric’s sheer apathy at being forced to walk across the map.
The intended outcome was to see if the renegade combatant would apologize for his role in the ongoing civil war. For those who don’t know, Ulfric Stormcloak leads an anti-imperial rebellion Skyrim, and players first encounter him at the very beginning of the game while traveling to their own execution. Faced with his crimes of using the voice to kill the Torygg, the Jarl of Solitude, YouTuber The Laughing wanted to bring Simon Ulfric to town to explain his exploits to General Tullius of the Imperial Legion. Unfortunately, the journey turns out to be more dangerous than expected as both Ulfric and the player are attacked by wild animals and bandits. Unfortunately, things didn’t go quite as the player had hoped.
Even though Skyrim already offers an immersive open world, the ability to play the game in virtual reality will surely appeal to many. Seeing this region of Tamriel through a VR headset is something that amazes many gamers. And with the ability to interact with the environment and snag NPCs, there’s plenty of fun to be had beyond just slaying dragons.
The Elder Scrolls 5 Skyrim: Anniversary Edition is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
