Assassin’s Creed Codename Red will take fans of Ubisoft’s stealth action/RPG franchise to feudal Japan, and a new Unreal Engine 5 concept video from TeaserPlay envisions what the game’s open world might look like. Assassin’s Creed Fans have been asking for a main series game set in feudal Japan for years, and now Ubisoft is finally delivering one.
At the recent Ubisoft Forward event, the company paid special attention to this Assassin’s Creed Franchise. Fans were treated to the revelation of Assassin’s Creed Mirageoffered more details about that Assassin’s Creed Infinity project and gave a first look at Assassin’s Creed Codename Red. Assassin’s Creed Red was unveiled with a short teaser that set the scene and showed a ninja assassin sitting on a roof with a sword. It was enough to build considerable hype around the game, and it’s safe to say that Assassin’s Creed Fans are definitely looking forward to seeing more of the project.
At the moment Ubisoft is busy with advertising Assassin’s Creed Mirageset to launch sometime in 2023. With that in mind, it may be some time before fans of the franchise see it Assassin’s Creed Red in action, and so the TeaserPlay YouTube channel has stepped up to provide a concept video showing what the game could look like. TeaserPlay is a channel specialized in creating Unreal Engine 5 videos for hypothetical game projects, although in this case Assassin’s Creed Red actually exists.
The video shows what a Assassin’s Creed Take on feudal Japan as if it were built on the Unreal Engine 5, though unlikely to be the real thing Assassin’s Creed Red will use this engine. Ubisoft will likely use its Ubisoft Anvil engine to create the game as it is finished Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and is currently doing with the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage Game.
This isn’t the first time TeaserPlay has made a video of one Assassin’s Creed takes place in feudal Japan. A few months ago, TeaserPlay made a video about it Assassin’s Creed Infinity (before it turned out to be a turnstile rather than an actual video game), and envisioned it in a feudal Japanese setting. This video had quite a strong reaction, garnering over 2 million views and thousands of positive comments, many of which wished Ubisoft would create an official Assassin’s Creed game in Japan.
With Assassin’s Creed Red, fans of the franchise are finally getting their money’s worth. First, they can focus on going to market Assassin’s Creed Mirage next year, and then they can look forward to seeing more of Assassin’s Creed Red in action.
