Looks like you bought the Vault Edition from Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 After all, you get double XP.

Some players who bought the Vault Edition of the recent Modern Warfare 2 release expected that one of the bonuses they would receive was at least 10 hours of double XP tokens. There was one particular caveat, however: to get those double XP tokens, you should buy the game’s special edition via Modern Warfare, Black Ops Cold War, or Vanguard, but enough players seemed to have missed that activity don’t make it clear. So now everyone who has the Vault Edition gets those tokens after all.

“We understand there has been some confusion over a Game Store exclusive reward for the Vault Edition,” reads a post on the official Call of Duty Twitter.

“As such, we have decided to reward all players who currently own or purchase any version of the MWII Vault Edition with 10 Hours of Double XP Tokens and 10 Hours of Double Weapon XP Tokens. Current owners who have not yet received the tokens should expect to see them in their accounts within the next 48 hours.”

This isn’t the only point of controversy the game has found itself in as of late. Although it’s a little stranger, a hotel in Amsterdam is considering taking legal action against Activision over the game’s depiction of the building where the hotel is located. Architecture can be copyrighted in Europe and the US, although the hotel’s name doesn’t appear in-game, the fact that the building is unique could pose an issue.

Modern Warfare 2 players have also made some money by selling skins for the game given to them by Burger King, with one player making over $200 after just three visits.
